Question from a Customer about Wall Panelling's Oak/oak veneer panelling...

Sent: Tue 06/09/2011 12:47To: Wall Panelling ExpertsSubject: Re: re bookcase and panelling estimate

Dear Carol,
Thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly! Yes, the details are approximately correct.
What thickness is the veneer part of the oak? Do you do solid wood and if so, what would the cost be?
Kind regards,
Shona Smith
Hi Shona yes the 18 mm oak/oak veneer is made up as follows 1. framework of 12mm oak faced mdf 2. Then a 6mm mdf oak/oak veneer back 3. Then solid oak beading Because of how they are made they don't warp or crack unlike solid oak and you finsihbthe in exactly the same way as solid oak eg varnish and then waxing if preferred For solid oak please just double the price (Solid timbers are very expensive at the moment) Hope that helps If there is anything I can do to help, if you have anything on your mind please just ask Thanks so much, Shona From Your Senior Wall Panelling Advisor Carol Direct from The Uk's Top Wall Panelling Experts For Everything You Will Ever Need To Know For Your Own Ideal Wall Panelling Design..
